China's mold industry has developed rapidly in recent years. From 1996 to 2002, the output value of my country's mold manufacturing industry increased by about 14% annually. In 2003, it increased by about 25%, reaching 45 billion yuan, or about 5 billion U.S. dollars, ranking No. 1 in the world. three. However, as far as the current situation of my country's mold industry is concerned, the product structure is unreasonable. Most of the products are low-value products, and high-tech molds still need to be imported. In 2002, my country imported 1.272 billion US dollars of molds, which shows that my country's mold industry is developing. Fast, but compared with demand, the supply is still in short supply. The main gap is in precision, large, complex, and long-life molds.
Luo Baihui, an expert member of Shenzhen Die & Mould Technology Association and CEO of Mould Network, pointed out that the current Chinese mould manufacturing enterprises must focus on improving product quality and reducing manufacturing costs in order to realize the strategic transformation from a big mould country to a powerful mould country. Luo Baihui analysis pointed out that the mold industry must vigorously develop high value-added products, follow the line of precision, expertise, and strength, and create new growth points in the blue ocean. In the future development, the mold industry must first pay more attention to the strategic adjustment of its product structure, so that high-end molds with complex structures and high precision can develop faster. China's mold industry must closely follow the needs of the market to develop. Without product demand and product upgrades, there would be no technological progress in the mold industry, and there would be no increase in scale and quality of mold products. For example, more than 90% of parts and components in automobile production must be formed by molds. In the Pearl River Delta and the Yangtze River Delta, the output value of molds for the automotive industry has increased by about 40%. The level of mold technology determines to a large extent the product quality, efficiency and new product development capabilities. It has become an important indicator to measure the level of a country's product manufacturing.
The development of the mold industry must not rely solely on this industry, because it involves issues such as national policies, corporate mechanisms, and production materials. However, the development of the mold industry in recent years is enough to make people believe that China's mold level will soon reach the world's advanced mold level.
